Is it okay....?

Question

To look through your SOs phone/email/anything with unspoken consent because you love and trust eachother? 
It's not about you feeling suspicious but simply if you need to check something or reply to something or just nose about. 
My partner and I have free range over each others devices without having to ask unless warned about possible future secret presents 🙈 
So how do you feel about that? Do you think it's an invasion of privacy or totally fine? :)

I trust my husband 100%. His phone is his phone. I don't need to snoop through everything trying to find something. It's wrong and an invasion of privacy.

We avoid each other's phones around holidays and birthdays so we don't spoil any surprises for each other, but other than that it's all open book.

I trust my S.O. and he trusts me but that's like going into a purse or wallet.
We don't use each other's phones. We don't touch each other's phones wallets or anything. 
What is mine is mine what is his is his.
Why go looking for trouble.

we will read each other's new texts out loud if the other person is driving and asks the other one to do it. Otherwise we don't go on each other's phone.

Definitely okay! I check his phone randomly and we dont have any problem about it. I say " can i see your phone?" He says "okay" 😂 and hand it over to me. 😂

It's not ok, because it's an invasion of privacy, but if you get a gut feeling that somethings up and you check and find nothing then it's okay. But your s/o shouldn't get upset if they aren't doing anything cause they have nothing to hide. If they get upset they're hiding something. Especially if they hit you with the bs lines, oh you don't trust me and if you wanted to know you could've just asked and I'll tell you.

I occasionally look through my husbands phone if I'm looking for a pic of my son. He has like EVERY single pic since he was born (more storage than me)... But not to snoop. I could if I wanted but don't feel the need to. I'll answer a call or text if he asks and vice versa but we never go through each other's phones just because

If you need to get a number or check something from an email, sure. But I disagree with "nosing about" ... I don't think anyone searches another person's stuff out of boredom. They search it thinking maybe they'll find something.
Shrug. Just my personal opinion.

There shouldn't be 'unspoken consent' if you REALLY love and trust each other. You can't have both, it's contradicts everything. They deserve their privacy just as much as you do. And if you can't trust them enough to have their own privacy you shouldn't be together
