So I'm 4 weeks & 5 days postpartum. My bleeding stopped around 3 weeks or so. Then suddenly yesterday started again with a vengeance! Like soaking a pad in 2 hours! I called the doc and they said it could be a period?! But I'm EBF! I thought that was supposed to hold off that crap😑

I saw this today actually, it explains the specific circumstances required to have lactational amenorrhea:
Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM) is 98-99% effective in preventing pregnancy, as long as you can answer yes to the following statements:
1.	My baby is less than 6 months old
2.	My monthly period has not returned
3.	My baby is fully or nearly fully breastfed
4.	I am breastfeeding at least every 4 hours during the day and at least every 6 hours at night

“Fully breastfed” means your baby gets all food from suckling at the breast.
“Nearly fully breastfed” means that your baby does not receive more than 1 or 2 mouthfuls per day of anything else in addition to breastfeeding and vitamin D.

I'm EBF as well and I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks but I started spotting randomly I'm almost 4 weeks pp so maybe it's normal

Happened to me too at 2 weeks pp and my dr said its normal it isn't a period it's cuz of all the hormones I'm 4 weeks 3days pp today and it's almost completely stopped now

Exact same boat here. I quit bleeding totally by 2.5 weeks post partum. Currently 4 weeks and 6 days PP and had bright red bleeding start 3 days okay. Looks just like a period. I'm also EBF! No idea what's going on. 💆🏼💆🏼💆🏼
