Any nurses out there?

Question

I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant and work as a care tech while I'm in nursing school. I'm already have a hard time working 12 hour shifts running back and forth like I'm required to do.

I also have 12 hour clinicals 2 days a week on top of class and am required to work 24 hours a week.

I was wondering if any one had any tips on how to make it through a 12 hour shift? When is it appropriate to ask my boss to switch me to 8 hour shifts?

I was an ICU nurse and worked 13 hour shifts until 9 months. Wear the most comfortable shoes you can find and always wear some TED hose. They really made a difference. And I carried around a giant jug of water everywhere I went.

Hey girls, this is off topic but I really need to know if I can do this... My husband and I really want to get pregnant and I got accepted to ultrasound school. I have my husband, mother and mother in law that would help us, but what is your opinion of school and a newborn? Obviously I don't want to miss one single second of my baby, but this education will bless us for forever. Need some thoughts/encouragement.. :)

I work up to 48 hours a week as a nurse and I have recently gotten to the point where my feet are swelling and I'm EXHAUSTED. But I'm almost 33 weeks, so it's pretty normal :)
