Mild Cramping 7 Days Late

Advice need please and thank you! TTC #1, 7 days late foe AF and have been having very mild cramps on and off since 3 or so days before AF and got a BFN 3 days ago (too nervous to test again yet). Is this normal? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
