Miscarried today, what should I expect next?

I "officially" miscarried today at 7wks. I knew I was going to a few days ago when I started spotting and the getting reeeeallly bad cramps. And then I for sure knew as soon as I started bleeding, not heavily but kind of like the beginning of a period whenever I went to the bathroom. Then, this morning before my emergency sonogram, I passed a large amount of pinkish-grey tissue matter that my doctor was fairly certain was the gestational sac since she couldn't see anything on my sonogram. I'm ok now that the shock of it all has worn off.

I'm cramping a little now but I'm not bleeding anymore. Everything I've read says that I should expect A LOT of bleeding. Is this the end of everything now that I've passed the sac? Or is this just the calm before the storm?

I'm in a similar position to you but a few days down the line... I officially miscarried on Saturday at 7 weeks and since then I've just been bleeding like a regular period and today I feel like it's starting to get lighter. I haven't had any heavy bleeding at all. Been for a scan since it happened and doctor said I probably won't have a big bleed like I've read about.

I think everyone is different and the further along you are the more bleeding you would expect.

I mc at 7w3d and bled heavily and passed the sac in tact with the fetus inside 🙁 my heart is broken seeing my baby and said goodbye

I had a miscarriage two weeks ago at about 7 weeks as well. For me, I started spitting on Sunday night on and off until Wednesday night when I was up from 10:30 pm until about 1:30 am bleeding heavily. Like every 15-20 minutes I was running to the bathroom because I felt like my insides were coming out. I had Huge clots. Like some baseball size. After about 1:30 am my bleeding slowed down a ton. Like I could get by with one pad a day if I really wanted to. My scan on that Thursday morning showed no sac so within one of my clots was probably my sac/baby. They also said that my uterine lining was still quite thick so I should continue to bleed because that needs to come out. On Saturday afternoon I had what looked like the pinkish grey stuff like you said you had. From everything I read, that was my uterine lining and my next scan showed that it had gone down and was now normal to what it should be after a period. Overall, I spotted three days, a few hours of heavy bleeding, and 5 days of a very light type period. As a reference, it was two weeks ago yesterday that I had my full miscarriage and as of this morning my hCG levels are negative which is great. Even thou everyone is different, I would expect it to be somewhat similar for you since we were about the same length into our pregnancies. I think it's different for everyone. I miscarried twins on February 27th and I spotted heavily for a few days afterwards and bled on and off for about two weeks.

Sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in November at 7 weeks. Similar to you I had bleeding and cramps then passed what visually looked like the sac and cord. I was expecting heavy bleeding but it was only slightly heavier than a normal period for me (which isn't heavy at all really in my case!). Like you I kept expecting a surge to start but it never came. I then panicked that the reason id miscarried was because the womb lining wasn't think enough to embed properly - I rang my doctor and she said this would be a very rare reason to miscarry.

She said they tend to say expect heavy so that people aren't shocked of they do get heavy bleeding but that everyone is different X

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm miscarrying right now. Tuesday night had light bleeding and mild cramps. Wednesday night the pain was so bad I couldn't sleep and cried all through it. Heavy, clotty, red blood. Took my first tablet from the obgyn to expel the remaining tissue a little while ago. She said it should not get much heavier than it already is now, and should slow down in about 48 hours.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried at 10 weeks and I bled heavily before passing a lot of tissue with bad cramps ... Then the bleeding tapered off and I thought it was done. Then suddenly the next day, I kid you not it was like mini labor (I have a 4YO so I've been there), and I passed another round of tissue and clots with heavy bleeding. It came out of nowhere and terrified me, I literally could barely breathe through the cramps (contractions?). So don't be shocked or scared if that happens, because I totally didn't see it coming & nobody warned me. After that, it really calmed down and i just had light bleeding/spotting from that point on. Best of luck for healing 💜 it's hard and not fair and it fucking sucks.

I think it's different for everyone... I spotted for a little over a week and started to cramp/ bleed on Friday. I passed significant clots from the get go, but it picked up Saturday afternoon. I couldn't cough laugh or use my stomach muscles at all without passing clots and was in and out of the bathroom every fifteen minutes or so for hours. Otherwise I sat in the recliner all day. Sunday it eased up to normal period like bleeding with small clots, but I was able to go to the store, do laundry, help hubs tear a five foot tree out of our yard. It felt good to be actively DOING things. I go in for a blood draw today to measure levels.

I had a very somar experience back in December. I had what you would call a "complete" miscarriage; which means that my body passed all parts of my pregnancy. The "good" thing about that was that I didn't need any intervention as far as removing or cleaning anything out. Maybe make a follow up appointment for some extra info. My bleeding took a week to stop but I know everyone is different. The most important thing is to take care of yourself and take time to heal. I am so very sorry for your loss and I know no words can help but I'm praying that you find comfort. 💕
