Shortened cervix

I am about to be 24 weeks on Sunday and have been diagnose with shortened cervix. My doctor has been monitoring me every week for about a month. He measures my cervix every time and luckily it has not changed or shortened. He states that since it has not shortened but is in the shorter side I can follow up every 2 weeks. I'm really nervous and anxious because there's a possibility of going into preterm labor. My doctor can't really tell me what's going to happen, he states that it's a waiting game. Luckily I have no other symptoms. Has anyone gone through the same thing or is going through it now? Any advise ir comments?
