Anyone told it was due to an infected placenta?

At 20 weeks I lost my daughter in Nov. All the doctor said 3 weeks later was pathology said my placenta was infected & there was nothing I could do- no answers, explanation, why's, etc. Anyone know anything or been told anything?

Carrie, ive been through this exact same thing with my son. Placenta infected and caused premature labor. Little guy held on for 15 mins or so after birth. No answers. It’s frustrating and painful and I feel like my body has never fully healed. Would love to talk further with you

Did you have any other medical problems that you had to take medication for during your pregnancy. I lost my son at 18 wks 5 days cause I had got gonorrhea and then right after I finished that medication I had got bv and that was the underlying cause of my miscarriage.
