The hashtag #beenrapedneverreported has been trending in Twitter for a few hours now - and it makes for very heartbreaking reading. Many women are coming forth and sharing their stories of rape - and why they chose to not say anything about it. By some estimates, almost 80% of rapes in our society go unreported.
At Glow, we have a 'Rape and Sexual Abuse Survivors' group where you can go to share your story and find support.
What can we do to change this? How can we stop women from being victimized twice? First by the rape - and then by its aftermath?
