Bad mother?

I'm sitting here surrounded by my husbands family. And I wanted to put my son down for a nap. So I set up the pack and play and put him down he was safe. 1 blanket 1 sippy and nothing around him. He cried a bit so I closed the door so he wouldn't wake up due to the noise. I walk out and sit down and everyone's looking at me. I say "what?" And his aunt was saying how terrible I am because I shut the door on him... How I am an awful mother... And how I should open the door... Um no I don't want him to be awake and cranky. So she goes back and open the door and he start bawling. I'm sorry for the vent but it's frustrating.
