Upset with my doctor
I'm 31 weeks and 1 day and when I went to my Dr appointment today she told me not to gain any more weight, I don't understand how that is possible when you gain the most weight at the end of your pregnancy? Her comments about it bothered me the most, I have gained 33 pounds so far but I was also underweight before I got pregnant and I'm not fat by any means it doesn't even look like I've even gained any weight I'm all belly and she never even said anything about the number on the scale it was when I laid down and pulled my shirt up for her to listen to baby's heartbeat she said something about how big my belly was getting and how I look much farther along than I am and how I shouldn't be gaining anymore weight at all, I'm not even quite sure why she was so surprised by this when I've been measuring ahead ever since she began to measure me. At first she would tell me how I was going to have a big baby which is very common in my family, there hasn't been any babies born under 8 pounds and now she is saying that I need to not gain anymore weight at all? She told me I need to walk more and I walk literally everywhere considering I don't own a car that's how I get around and she told me when I get hungry I need to eat fruits and vegetables which I do but you need to eat more than just that she doesn't even know what I eat and how much I walk so she really can't make comments on that... I just feel very hurt by the comments that were made and it probably shouldn't be bothering me as much as it is, but I was already feeling very self conscious about my body and the weight I've gained and she just made me feel even worse.
