Angry neighbor. Advice needed please

We live in a small apartment block with 5 apartments in total. 2 on first floor 2 on the 2nd and a single guy in the attic.

On the way from my mil house my 6 week old daughter literally vomited her entire feed up into her car seat.

So as soon as we got home we bathed her then I hand washed the seat cover ect ny this time it was 10.40pm and my husband ran down to the cellar to spin dry it so we could hang it out to dry. Well the man who lives under us and above the wash room rang our door bell and gave my husband an ear full.

In no way did we purposely put the machine on to annoy him. My husband explained that our newborn was sick over everything it was a 5 min spin cycle but he responded back with he is calling the landlord and he doesn't care that our daughter was sick.

I have been in tears. I'm upset that our neighbor is angry and I am upset for my husband. Honestly we did in no way think we were hurting anyone. We are just first time parents trying to do the right thing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
