Can you be disappointed by the way your man proposes?

Is it possible for the proposal to be a bit lack luster? Maybe doesn't say the right things or its done in a place more out of your comfort zone? 
Or are all proposals special no matter where or how they are done?

I think the feeling of disappointment would come from an unrealistic standard set by movies and such. But I also think if there was little to no effort put into it, thinking it was lackluster would be valid. You do want him to show you how MUCH he wants to marry you. Idk, I was proposed to on the top of a mountain in Hawaii, so I can't say I know exactly how it would feel to be disappointed. Lol.

My husband proposed in front of people/strangers and I didn't like that part because I am very shy and embarrassed easily. But it is what it is and the proposal is so short compared to the life we will spend together. It only bothered me at that moment.

My husband didn't propose. He bought me a ring , told me he bought it and then never proposed so after waiting for 3 months I said just give me the damn ring.

I wasn't disappointed, but I knew it was coming and all he said was "I love you, will you marry me?" Which is fine but he doesn't vocalize how he feels ever so I always hope for something crazy to come out during those times haha. I was just expecting too much lol

My husband proposed to me in my car in front of my house. All he said was "I can't take it anymore, will you marry me?" It wasn't romantic at all but he's not much for planning things and flies by the seat of his pants. It was totally something I would expect from him though I hoped for more lol 😂

My hubby proposed the first time in his sleep, the second time over text as we were talking about our future plans together, and he said "I guess I should actually ask you if you would marry me". We ended up picking out my engagement ring after I had found what I wanted online, and then I put the ring on my glove and put it into the truck glove compartment,  then he told me to open the glove box... very unorthodox, but the last one is what we told my mom!

A friend of mine had a video of her proposal and he got down on a knee and opened the ring box and after she said "are you serious" he said "now will you quit bugging me"

Yeahhhhh I would've said "righhhht. We're done here. I won't bug you anymore"

My heart broke for her. If that's how you propose do you put ANY thought or effort into your relationship?

My boyfriend lacks some creativity so I'm not expecting something elaborate, shit he's asking me to be his wife that's all I need 😂
