Anti depressants: what should I expect?

I'm taking an anti depressant and anti anxiety combo pill. I took the first one today and I just feel boring and my TV shows aren't funny anymore. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like this.

It's going to take around a month of being on the correct dosage for you to feel happy, ect.

It depends, it may take trying a few different anti depressants/anti anxiety pills for u to find the right one for u. I was diagnosed w/ anxious depression in 2001, I've been on 4 different pills over the years, 1st one I took for 6 months & it never really did anything, 2nd one I was on for 6 years w/ varying doses, I eventually got off of that 1 because I felt somewhat numb meaning not depressed or anxious but not really happy or excited about anything either, the 3rd 1 I tried was the absolute wrong 1 for me & the change was immediate, crying constantly, so nauseated I lost 10 lbs in 10 days, I was only on that 1 for 2 weeks, so for me 4th time was the charm, the 1 I'm on now has no side effects for me & I'm able to be on a really low dose, I've been on it since 2008. I also go to therapy once a month & that helps

You're pretty much just going to be neutral feeling unless something is happening, and that's only if you have the correct medicine for you. It should take a bit for it to take affect, but you shouldn't get as upset or anxious etc. but! Only if you found the correct medicine and dosage for you.

You shouldn't see any real changes for the first few weeks and even then in most people it's just a picture into what it'll be like - most people require an increase in dosage as the introductory dose is rarely enough to have the desired effect.
