Is the term "femme-nazi" offensive?

Why or why not? I've heard it used to describe a group of women who are self-proclaimed feminists in a constant state of alleged oppression, perpetually offended by the Republican Party, conservatives, Christians, white people, and men. Calls others bigots without really understanding the term. Thoughts?
