What're your thoughts/ experiences with online dating!!

I was never the one for online dating. I would build friendships with guys online but I made it clear we would never meet in person. Last summer my math professor mentioned an app, Tinder. I'd never heard of it so I checked it out (yeah, I know, I was late lol). After about 2 weeks I met my unknowingly soon to be boyfriend. We clicked immediately, which is very hard for me to do with people in general. Anyways, my parents were out of town one week and I was feeling reckless so when he invited me to sushi I accepted. Again, I had never done anything like this before and I'm normally a very cautious person but there was something about our connection that I couldn't ignore. I just got good vibes from him. long story short: we met, I didn't end up locked in a freezer in his basement, and we dated for a month. We broke up but remained incontact. During this time we were able to get to know each other and become really good friends. And then during our Christmas break we found our way back to each other. I'd like to compare our first relationship to drowning and our second relationship to the refreshing breath of air you take in when reaching the surface. I really love and appreciate that man.
