37 week checkup

was wondering if anyone has had an ultrasound done this late in their pregnancy, just remembered my dr told me I'll be having an ultrasound tomorrow, no specific reason why though. Seems a little unnecessary, everything in my pregnancy has gone smoothly. Is this normal?
