Did anyone purchase an Owlet??

It's a baby monitor device in the form of a sock that monitors your baby's heart rate and oxygen level. It alerts you if your baby is in distress. 245 dollars though 😓  this would save me sooo much  anxiety!

I work in a Nicu, and a baby was admitted because of it unnessarialy. While the baby was hospitalized, The Owlet went off when our actual hospital monitor didn't. The Nicu Dr. said it was crap, and laughed telling me not to even think of wasting my money on that.

I wanted to order but the reviews on Amazon strayed me away. For some it eased any anxiety while others raised it. I guess it's sensitive and causes some false alarms.

I thought about it too. But decided to go with the Angelcare monitor, a lot less expensive and the reviews on Amazon are good.

I have heard nothing but horror stories and crap about the owlet. You're better off just getting a regular baby monitor.

I asked the company if it could be used in the car or swing, the times I felt like I would be most concerned, and they said no. The movement of the car/swing could give a false read. Decided not to get it
