Patch off, still protected for the week?

Recently I've been unable to get more patches due to my blood pressure being high, last week I put on my last patch and now I have no more left, usually when you take the patch off during the 'off' week, you're still protected during the week, up until the next change day. I was wondering if I go off the patches today, will I still be protected up until the next week? , I'm 2 patches in, so I'm only 1 patch short of the full patch cycle. I hope my question makes sense, please could you let me know
