Birth Control

I am 3 weeks post partum and was wanting a good birth control that I could talk to my doctor about at my 6 week appointment. I am breastfeeding so I know I can't take some birth control meds. Anyone have any information on different IUDS? How easy it is to get pregnant after using them and having them removed? Risks? Benefits? Did it mess up your menstrual cycle? Any issues with pain during or after insertion of the IUD? I googled some as well but it would be nice to hear from people who have used them.
