Tongue tie and lip tie- which doctor?
My 6w girl has "significant class 2 tongue tie" confirmed by two pediatrician and an ENT. I'd like for her to receive a review for lip tie as well and have her undergo revisions. She drinks only for about 5min on each breast but manages to fall asleep in between, latches poorly, makes clicking sounds, bites to make my nipples sore, is extremely gassy, vomits and spits out a lot even through nose, blisters on both lip, drools etc. the list of symptoms is fully covered and I'd like at least some of it to be relieved.
The thing is, I'm in Seoul, Korea and I cannot find any ENT doc who is willing to perfom the procedure on babies! Some dentists and oral surgeons were willing to but when I asked, they admitted that they are not very experienced either with the procedure or with babies. Here, it is mostly pediatricians that take on the job and I'm not sure if they can also do lip ties, but before I go ask, can I trust pediatricians with tongue and lip?
Sure, it is a simple procedure but there are cases where it is not cut properly and so on? If it is so simple that any doctor can do it, why won't ENT docs I've contacted refuse to do it? I've never been so confused.
