Excited but confused

I went in yesterday for my day 12 ultrasound after taking Femara. The doctor was really excited  about the size of the follicles and how many. She measured them and then told me to get the digital ovulation kit. And to take it yesterday. Also I do the deed last night and tonight. So I did as I was told but the digital showed a low LH level but have been nausea and having pains which tells me that I am going ovulate soon. I just don't understand if my follicles are the size they need to be then why isn't my LH level higher. So I am excited but confused all at the same time. Has anyone ever had this happen to you?
