I have alopecia and believe me if you were going bald you wouldn't need to ask. It is normal to loose up to 80 hairs a day as you constantly loose hair and replace it and with a normal head of hair loosing that many isn't really noticeable on your head but it may be noticeable if you have long hair as you may notice it on clothes or around your house

I have a family member with alopecia, and I have started losing more in the last six months as well… I think it was because of the hormonal changes from going off birth control. Actually track it now and write it based on losing one times my normal amount, two times, three times, etc.… The one thing I've learned is that it has so much to do with your body's inflammatory response, which can be heightened or diminished by the things you eat, exercise, etc. On an alopecia forum, some people recommended going gluten and dairy free, so I tried that in January… My hair loss went back down to normal… Added back dairy in February and it was still normal so I thought I was in the clear, I did that gluten in March and I started losing tons again… So I'm now gluten free until my hormones regulate, or maybe forever who knows! Anyway experiment around and figure out what's right for you. Definitely check out the inflammatory thing. It probably would not work for everyone, but if you were tracking your hair loss and know that it is definitely more than whatever used to be normal for you, it would probably be A good idea to try to improve your overall health and maybe decrease inflammation!
