Should I get a second job?

My fiancè and I are trying to have a baby. He's laid off in the winter due to him working construction. If we're blessed with a baby in the near future, should I pick up a second job?

I think it would depend on money really... He could also do a seasonal job in the winter... Or move to a warmer state so he can do construction all year? Sorry I didn't vote because there are so many other factors that come into play.

I would get a second job now, before the baby exists.  Start saving early, that way if you have a tough pregnancy you can quit one of your jobs :)

If you got pregnant in the near future you'd be pregnant all winter long and then he'd be able to work through the rest of,your pregancy and the birth. I'd just save up for next winter when you know he'll be laid off again.a second job wouldnt hurt helping to save but I'd make him get a seasonal job
