Follicles after ovulation

This is my first injectables cycle. After 17 days of Gonal-F then Menopur, I had 3 follicles, two 18's and a 17mm. We triggered Friday and then I went back Sunday morning for blood work and ultrasound to make sure I ovulated. Ultrasound showed the follicles are all still there, but blood work showed rising progesterone...as if I ovulated. Has anyone had this happen to them? I'm confused as to how/if progesterone can rise if you didn't actually ovulate. I'm worried this cycle is a wash. 😔
