How are you diagnosed with endo?

Question

I have the most excruciating period cramps..I get cold sweats, throw up, poop, shakes, heavy blood and some blood clots and pain that goes in and out of managable to thinking I'm not going to survive it. I do t have pain during sex which I read is a sign. My paps are normal and I can't remember if I REALLY had the talk with my gyno about endo...if I go next time what should I expect him to do?

The only way to get a proper diagnosis is through a laparoscopy. Any doctor who says otherwise is not well-educated in endometriosis. If you think you may have endo, the best thing you can do is try to find the closest specialist to see you.

Omg. Sounds exactly like what I go through almost every month. I've been diagnosed with endometriosis. Good luck, I hope something works out for you and the pain will be significantly reduced.

If you do have a lap and you come back confirmed endo. If you have the funds I recommend finding an excision specialist. They are better at removing the endo than just a lap. My lap was more to cut away as much of my amassing cysts but they chopped up some endo while they were in there. Turns out this can be counter productive. Once getting to a true endo specialist for a real excision it's harder for them to remove the endo. Do some research on the excision process if the app would allow longer text I would tell you all about it! Good luck love

Thy will do a laparoscopic surgery, it is not bad. If there is some, they will remove it. You can not tell from a pap. I have had it done twice now. It has been one of the causes of our infertility. Bc helps slow growth, however hard to take it if you are TCC :)

Hun u need to get your doctor to refer u to a gynocolagyst they do key whole surgery to see if u have endometriosis or not 
If u have a little bit they remove it there and then if u have a lot they book u in for a 2nd one 
But it always grows back I had 6 and after each one a month after endometriosis was back 
It's not nice they do have treatment for it but it didn't all work with me they say getting pregnant helps tho it's hard to fall pregnant with it I thought I couldn't have kids but I'm now pregnant 
If it's that bad go to ur doctor and keep going on and on at them until they do their job

I have the exact same symtoms my gyno did an ultrasound with Doppler and they diagnosed me with endo that way as well as having cysts in my ovaries that I need surgery for hope that's helpful

Same symptoms.. Been TTC for over a year.  My period is suppose to come today (scared to death of it).  Had a hysteroscopy in August to see if my 6cmm fibroid was causing me the issue of not getting pregnant- and driving home I fainted and almost crashed - was able to recognize I was about to faint because I lost my hearing (same symptoms of period)... 
Asked dr of it could be endo and he said there was no way to tell but didn't even recommend the laposcopy.  
Please- advice anybody! One can't live like this!

Besides the shakes that sounds like me. I've never gone in to be checked for it, and my pap came out clear. Maybe I should just to be safe.

The only way to positively be diagnosed with endometriosis. They have to view the endometrium outside of the uterus and then biopsy it to be sure.
