Which one ?

Bassinet or pack and play ? One of my friend says pack and play is not stable and risky ( she's uses bassinet ) which I don't think is very true . But which one you guys pick ? Bassinet or pack and play and why ?

If you're only going to get one- I'd recommend a play yard. You can use a play yard a lot longer than a bassinet, they're portable, and they can have a bunch of attachments and accessories to make certain things easier. There are napper and newborn attachments you can get for them so you don't have to bend down as much (which can be difficult while you're recovering) which will help it serve as a bassinet.

Pack and play as it will grow with baby.  Bassinet will not be used long.

I got a pack n play with a bassinet attachment. I thought we would get more bang for our buck this way

I got a pack n play with the little bassinet sleeper thing. We did have a regular bassinet that we only used at our in laws. The pack n play got so much more use. We also had her sleep in a crib at night. I felt that was more safe. The pack n play was the only one of the three that was new, the rest were hand me downs.

We went with the pack n play with bassinet attachment. Just seems more practical. I don't know if you've ever put a pack n play up but those things are extremely sturdy, they are a pain in the ass to be honest.

Our pack n'play have the zip off bassinet on the top. This is our 3rd baby and she'll be using it too!  Our boys went from the p n'p to a double bed (now 4 yrs and 19 months old & sharing the bed). We avoided the crib and toddler beds - one transition!

Pack n play!!! Itll last so much longer. I loved mine with my first. It went everywhere with us. Us i could tale it outside and let her play while i did yard work. So many options!

I think pack and play with bassinet attachment. But baby will outgrow the bassinet by 4-6 months, most likely. The only thing about the pack and play that may be dangerous is if baby rolls into the wall of the pick qnd play and there isn't enough ventilation. This is low risk though. If you're really concerned though, you could get a side sleeper. Keeps baby next to you and has full mesh sides.

You can use a basenet for maybe 3-4 months tops.  I loved my pack n play.  I had the basenet portion to put the bed higher when babe was little.  He slept in the pack n play by my bed till 2 months then move to his crib.  LOVED it.  So easy to take to a friends and let little one sleep and when he was older, it was put in the kitchen/dinning area for him to play while I cooked.  I know people who bring a pack n play camping when theirs were 0-2ish years old.  I stopped using the pack n play around 15 months when my son started climbing up the sides.
