Advice on how to tell family?

Just had my first sonogram today and we are so excited!!! It's soooo tiny! We are 7 weeks and 1 day. We've decided to tell the grandparents tonight. Any advice? I'm worried they'll be upset we aren't married but I have never wanted to be married.. We own our own home and both have good paying jobs. I'm hoping that'll be enough. Share some of your own stories and give some advice please?!

As long as you both love each and can give your child what they need who cares if you are married now.  I'm almost 10 weeks, not  married but both in love and independent. First thing a friend told me when we told people was "so does that mean Ull get married sooner?"   🙄   Why? Lol I don't get it. We are happy, in love, financially stable AND we have a baby on the way. Nothing else Should matter right now.    Congrats on your pregnancy!!!

We just told our parents/ families this past weekend, after being together for two years and just getting engaged on our two year anniversary this past Friday. We used a cute method of saying "we have some "berry" exciting news" on a jar and placing the ultrasound and candy raspberries in that jar along with a second note that said "...and someone berry excited to meet you on 1/16/17". Both our families are pretty traditional, so we were a bit worried about being unmarried, but it turns out they were so excited! It seems like you have a great home together with your boyfriend and love each other, so don't let it stress you out! You might be pleasantly surprised to find that they're just as excited!
