Am I wrong ?

Question

I had my son about a month and a half ago.. (Take in mind I'm 15) I want to give him up for adoption.. His dad makes it so much harder on me he never pays for anything and makes this whole single mom thing 20 times harder .. I'm just done with this I can't raise my son alone without any help.

You (at 15, such a young age) are more adult in that reasoning and thought process than most 'adult' "mothers" would be in your situation. You are already an amazing mother for taking such things into consideration, is there anybody you can talk to about your options? I hope so. You are amazing. do what's best for you but let me tell you, you have already spent this much time with your baby. imagine not having him there. I'm 20, just had my daughter three months ago, and couldn't imagine not having her with me. I don't have it all, but there are sooo many opportunities for u to seek help for you and your baby. yes, you are so young. but you and your baby can grow together. I'm not trying to talk you out of your decision, but don't give your CHILD up because the father won't help. be strong, become independent, and be a mother. I promise you, it's so worth it.. through all the struggles, tears, and sleepless nights. think long and hard about this.

You're a very strong and brave individual to be a 15 yr old mom and try to do it and realize you can't do it on your own. You're doing better than some mothers already. Being a mom is hard in general and a single mom is harder. Do what's right for you and your baby. If you feel like adoption is the best choice then do it. You can do open adoption and still see your baby :) or let a relative you trust adopt your baby and be an even bigger part of your babies life

If that's what best for the baby then I'd do it. You should try to find someone close that'll take the baby though. If not, best of wishes. I'm glad you're taking the necessary steps to ensure the baby has the best life possible. Take to the father about your possible decision and take it from there
