starlight and sunny basal body temperature instructions

Does anyone happen to have the instructions for the bbt starlight and sunny brand? I have misplaced them and need to figure it out as each time I turn it on and I place it in my mouth under my tongue it never automatically beeps within the supposed 60 seconds timeframe with a reading. I would like to start charting my temp. Thank you in advance. P.S. I googled for this and couldn't find them.
