Partner unwilling to attend scan

I'm 39 weeks today and due final scan Friday with a membrane sweep afterwards. Just wanting to vent a little as my partner has said he is not attending and just allowing me to go alone. I've had sweeps in prev pregnancy so know what to expect but im upset he seems 'not bothered' about coming to the scan he said its due to work. But he works for family I know they would allow him to attend. I don't know if I'm just being hormonal and taking it too far? should i just go alone or to fight him on this? I believe he should be by my side every step? 😕
