Careless dog owners

What in the hell is wrong with people?!?! Of course as usual on the news this morning is that animal control is overpacked with lost dogs from the 4th of July that got scared and ran away. So many of them have a collar and no tags or nothing at all. WHY?!?! If these dogs had ID tags, they would be back home by now and not be at risk of being put down!!! IS IT THAT HARD TO MAKE YOUR DOGS WEAR ID TAGS AT ALL TIMES?!?! Are we really that stupid???? What in the hell is the point of having a dog wear a collar if there's no tags??? Too many stupid, irresponsible, careless people out there that own pets. And for those of you that say, well my dog is microchipped, so they don't need tags. SHAME on you! The chips can migrate and get lost and untraceable. The owner could have never registered the contact info with the chip, etc etc. Not only that, but it takes too much time and inconvenience to go out of your way to take a dog to a vet if found to see if they even have a chip. JUST MAKE THEM WEAR TAGS!! End of story! Be smart people. Or don't own pets.
