The low self-esteem talk with my bf.....

I've been dating my bf for almost 5 years, of course we have our ups and downs but there's this huge issue I haven't told him yet. I have self-esteem issues, I get kind of jealous and sad when he tells me about other girls.... I don't want to live like this, it's not fair to either of us, i feel like he will think it is ridiculous that I feel this way. I think I'm beautiful but there are some days I hate my face. When he tells me I'm beautiful, I want to see it in his eyes, not just when my clothes are off and we are about to have sex. Any advice on how I can tell him this?
