I almost cried
I have never been more proud of my brother than to hear him say how upset he was at his friend for disrespecting black women and how he wasn't going to tolerate it his mother is a black woman, his sister is a black woman, and his niece is going to be a black woman I almost shed a tear to see a black man stand up for black women like that because it's so rare to see it now days
Mind you his friend is black but only dates white women and calls all black women monkeys and thinks black women are scum of the earth and raises his mixed race sons to think the same thing I literally had to tell him to come get his son Clayton Bigsby(that's not his sons name but if you google that name you'll get the reference) before I shamelessly slapped this 9yr old in the face for coming at me as if I was beneath him for being a black woman I had to tell him even if he was 15/16th white that 1/16th of black will make the world always consider him black whether he understands that or not he doesn't get white privilege for having a white mom. I was so happy my brother said what he said because in that moment I didn't feel alone as a black woman I felt supported. A lot of you wont be able to relate but I know my fellow black women will understand how precious it is for a black man to stand up for us like that.
