Hyper puppy!

My lab is 10 months old & still VERY hyper. Every time I walk in the door he goes nuts & jumps in excitement. I wouldn't mind, but he weighs 85 pounds.. We've tried spraying with him with a bottle of water when he jumps and took him to trainings 3 times a week for 2 months with no improvement. I was wondering if anyone have/had a puppy/dog that changed and became calm once the baby was here.
