Hospital "rules"

So I was reading online that at my hospital you can not record the birth of your child and photographs are only aloud when dr approves it... I don't know how I feel about that. Why would it be that way? I can't film the birth of my child? Says who? Why don't they want pictures or footage? What are they doing something that they don't want documented? All these crazy questions pop in my head, any body have any idea why it's that way?
