I'm a little upset

I picked my daughter (she's 5) up from school today because she was running a fever and when we got home she took a nap. My husband decided to wake her up and of course she throws up. I got her bathed and ready for bed. Well it was time to take her medicine and my husband was being stern with her. And she doesn't really like taking her medicine. Well some came out of her mouth and he said that she will be sitting in timeout if she spits it out in a very stern voice. I told him she won't be sitting in timeout. She's sick, not feeling good and is exhausted. I've been doing this longer than him. And the way I do things when she's feeling like crap is different then what he just did. I don't yell , don't raise my voice and I just talk calmly. And he puts down the medicine and said here you do t then. And now he's mad at me playing his stupid video games. Does anyone else tell and talk sternly to their children when they are sick?
