When to start packing?!

I'm moving across the county in, oh.... 16 days.
When would you start packing?! I feel like it's way too early to get started. I'm living with my parents now and moving into an apartment. I only have enough stuff to fill my bedroom right now and will purchase more necessary items once I get there (like a couch and kitchen utensils.

I would've startedAT LEAST a month in advance. Probably sooner

I'd start packing non-essentials, like nicknaks and whatnots you don't use frequently. Winter clothes, or out-of-season items. Then pack things you use rarely, then infrequently, and keep packing a little every day until you have only essentials. It'll be easier in the long-run, and you can make a list of things you'll need.

I would start packing a little every day for like the week leading up to the move. That was on the last day all you have to do is get the essential and go.

I probably wouldve started at least a month in advance that way your not stressed and rushing to get it all done the day you move... Also are you getting a moving truck? You may have to reserve one and i would get on that asap in case theyre booked
