are yu ok with doing mans work

Alot of times i change my own oil, make all the decisions, do the building, etc, i dont mind but alot of times like now ill call my dad or grandpa and ask them how to do things im trying to get done and they get mad saying why are yu getting married to a man who can only clean. Are they right? Im only 20 and and i feel in my generation theres of dudes not all but who arent as old school and know how to do these things and especially since my race barely even has father who stick around to teach them. Is it a problem or not a big deal.
