Did you circumcise?

Question

Just wondering what everyones' decisions were and why!  I chose not to circumcise my son.  What about you?

We're adopting a boy I've met in Germany about 2 years ago who's a Syrian refugee, his parents were muslims and probably wanted it so we thought he should get circumcised and he could still chose his religion later. (If he wants to be muslim or not)

I left both my boys intact. There is no reason to do it. I can't believe people still believe the myths surrounding cricumcision. It is not easier to clean. It only slightly reduces the risk of already rare diseases in men. Most men in the world are intact. It is declining in the USA and will soon be unheard of here too. There is no logical reason whatsoever to remove parts of your baby's body.

We have two uncircumcised boys. They have the option of removing foreskins if they want to bit it's their choice.

I left the decision up to my fiancé since he obviously would know more about having a penis than I do. He asked our midwife what the pros and cons of circumcision were. She said it was mostly for looks and there were really no benefits but there wasn't really any cons either. I feel my son can decide for himself when he's older. I plan to raise him to be comfortable with himself though so he shouldn't ever have to get circumcised 😊

I did at my husband's request. My hubby is circumcised and he wanted our son as well. I had no personal preference. It made hubby happy and our son had no ill effects from the process.
