Hopeful (and guilty feeling) mama

Sleepless in Chicago
I have been cosleeping with my daughter (who is 8 weeks old) since birth because we haven't been able to lay her down on her own. Tonight, I swaddled her up, read her a few books, and put her in her infant seat in her crib (which is in my room). She cried pretty strong for a while but now she seems to be calming down. She's still crying some but it's mostly softer and not constant. It's hard for me to not go pick her up (really hard) but I'm hopeful she might actually sleep in her own bed!
