Trying for a baby

So I recently had a missed misscarridge, I got told I have to wait for my first period before trying to convince again, also was told I will be more fertile, I had my misscarridge 4 months ago now and was 3 months pregnant, my periods are irregular since, I was last bleeding a week ago and started again today, getting pulling pains down in my left side bear appendix, has this ever happened to anyone before, and how long after did it take you to conceive?
