Try putting tea tree oil on it. That helped when my belly button got a little infected.

It could be lint as well, people with innies get them, outties usually fluff. It's from towels and stuff, just wash it, clean it.

Hmm. I got this before too. I forgot what it is exactly but most likely from a yeast infection. It could be an over growth of candida causing it. I use to have an issue with candida.  Reduce your sugar if you have been having more then usual...

Alcohol will irritate it more from my experience but neem oil healed mine. I would rinse with water and slightly open it, don't want to be rough it will make it worse, then I would apply neem oil with a q tip and it healed within a week. I had it for weeks prior to my fiancée who works in a vitamin department recommended it.
