So itchy! can't sleep

I get the normal itchiness from stretching and dry skin. But this is the second night that the itchy is not allowing me to sleep. It feels like it's everywhere but the main area of discomfort is my lower face. Tonight I even put some Benadryl spray on my face to relieve the itch. And although it did momentarily, not even hour later and I'm back to itching like crazy. No rash or anything associated. I scratched at my breast and caused irritation. I don't know what to do !?! I'm going to take a bath and see if that relieves the itch some. Anybody else experiencing this?
