Is he into me? Or just looking for attention?

I participate in theatre with a man who has been "chasing" since this past April. I always thought of him as a friend until recently. We went on dates and we currently are a "thing." We both don't dig relationships and have decided not to be exclusive. However, all of our close friends know it's bound to happen.
But, the problem is that ever since I kind of gave in he doesn't attempt to sweep me off my feet anymore or any other lovey-Dovey mush. He's just there. Was the chase all he was interested in? 
I talked to him about it, but he is just as stubborn as I am, so it's hard to get a word out. His friends tell me that he is scared of commitment and how far he's falling for me.
But could it be true if he can't tell me that? And I can't get fully angry because he's not mine and I'm not his.

Maybe don't be available as much as you have been and see if he tries harder. Like if he asked to hangout, say you have other plans every once in a while or that you don't feel up to it. Don't be afraid of it pushing him away, cause you wanted to know what his intentions were anyway. A guy that really likes you will do whatever it takes. My bf chased me for 4 months after I broke things off when we were just seeing each other. Don't be afraid to get what you want.

I'd love for you to prove me wrong. But home girl above me is right. He's not chasing and excited about you being with him he's not into you. He likes you and likes sex with you but that's as far as it goes. Had a guy do the same to me for four months. I called it off.... next month had a guy at my feet and I'm the happiest I've ever been! Update us!
