New boyfriend

So I've been talking to this guy for a while now and ever since we met he's been completely honest with me about everything. He's been to jail before and is on probation now. He also has a 2 month old son and the mother is absolutely crazy. She harasses him all the time even though he pays 200 a week. This is not even court ordered he only does it because he loves his son but she won't ever let him see his son. He's seen him maybe 5 times since he was born. I'm not really sure what to do in this situation. I really like him but I don't want to get caught up in a lot of drama and such. He asked me out last night. What would you say if you were me?
