Fibroids!

Back in 2002, I was diagnosed with fibroids. The doctors suggested that I should try birth control to shrink them, so for 8 years (off and on) I tried different kinds of BC hoping that would do the trick. I tried this until 2009 when the doctors did an ultrasound and found that I had not one but two fibroids (one the size of my fist and the other the size of a golf ball). Long story short, I had them both successfully removed and haven't had any problems since. Have you ladies ever had fibroids? Did you have them removed or left them alone?
