First period already?

Has anyone else had their first postpartum period yet? My baby turned 3 months old on Sept. 1, and since I'm breastfeeding, I wasn't expecting a period to show up for at least another couple of months. But for whatever reason, it started last night! I won't lie; I'm kind of bummed about that. LOL! It definitely seems to be heavier than before I got pregnant, which I've been told is normal, but I also haven't had any cramps, which is *awesome* since I had pretty awful ones in the past.

I think I got my first one today. Not sure if it's from sex or my first period. I cried. I feel like I'm just starting to heal and now back to clunky pads. Can a mama get a break?!

Got mine 6 weeks after. And it's been normals since. June August and September on time

Had my first at 7 weeks. It was very light, minimal cramping, and lasted 4 days. I went back on the pill that week. 4 weeks later I got another period, and oh my goddess did the floodgates open. It was so heavy I thought about giving up on using pads and just walking around with a bucket between my legs, except the cramps were so horrific I could barely walk anyway. I've never had such an awful period in my life. I'm due for my next one in 2 weeks, and I really hope that was just a one off.

My baby boy also turned 3 months on the first and I'm about to have my period also since I know I ovulated a week and a half ago😖 With my daughter I didn't get it until 8 months pp! Darn it!

I have been EBF my son since he was born and I was one of the "lucky" ones and got my period the week after my postpartum bleeding stopped. Literally the week after (7 weeks). Now I am 14 weeks pp and my period just started again. 😫 why!?!? Haha.

I'm not BF and I got my first last month(had baby on June 22) and my second one last month. It sucked having 2 periods while on birth control in one month. I was so mad and miserable.

Just got mine Thursday evening while at work, completely unprepared for it. no signs or anything just wham I'm back! lol! it was about one year to day since my last one as well. how ironic?! definately different than pre pregnancy tho. heavier but not as crampy.

You're lucky! I got my period the following month after giving birth! And it was most definitely heavier than before my pregnancy! Haha
