Bleeding and c-section

I have medium flow and it's been a week and half after c-section, I have clots but always about cotton ball size or smaller. My flow hasn't seem to go down since I've been home its been a pretty steady medium flow and it's still bright red. Anyone experience this is it normal? When did you start just spotting. My period before I was pregnant was 7 days and was pretty heavy flow till the last two days.
