Hurts to wear tampon after having baby 10 Weeks postpartum

So I'm having an issue trying to wear tampons, I just had my 1st baby 10 Weeks ago, I did my 6weeks postpartum check up, (I had an emergency c-section btw) and my mid wife said that I was already healed but not to have any kind of intercourse because In 2 more weeks I was gonna get the mirena put in, so I never had sex with my husband these whole 10weeks, after I got the mirena put in at 8 weeks post she said after that day I should be ok to have intercourse, but obviously I didn't, for one, I've been bleeding, & I'm pretty sure I finally got my period, and I tried on a tampon but it felt very uncomfortable, and taking it out felt like sand paper. Has anyone had this happen? Does this mean I'm still not exactly healed? I know it takes time to FULLY heal from a c-section,but I would assume if I'm now allowed to have intercourse then why does it feel so bad to wear a tampon? Now I'm a bit weird about even trying to have sex with my husband because of how crappy it felt to even put & take out a damn tampon.
