advice!!

So im sexually active & i just stick to condoms for almost a year & until now no problems or scares. I don't want kids yet & that's the reason why i use condoms and i use them from start to finish. Should i get on the pill or just not have sex during my whole fertile week? I hate the side effects that the pill gives me & that is why i dislike being on it..
